Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms", "Terms of Service") carefully before using the trylongtail.com website and the LongTail Chrome Extension (the "Extension" or "Service") operated by Long Tail ("us", "we", or "our").

Your access to and use of the Extension is conditioned upon your acceptance of and compliance with these Terms. These Terms apply to all users who install and use the Extension.

By installing or using the Extension you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of the terms then you must not install or use the Extension.

Description of Service

LongTail provides a Chrome browser extension that enhances your web browsing experience with AI-powered assistance. The Extension analyzes webpage content and provides intelligent responses to help you understand and navigate complex websites, dashboards, and online interfaces. The Extension integrates with third-party AI services to process webpage content and generate helpful responses when you actively request assistance.

Installation and Use

The LongTail Chrome Extension can be installed from the Chrome Web Store without creating an account. The Extension operates within your browser and does not require personal login credentials. You are responsible for ensuring your browser and device security. You should only install the Extension from official sources such as the Chrome Web Store.

User Responsibilities and Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Extension:

• In any way that violates any applicable local, national, or international law or regulation.
• To access or process content from websites where you do not have permission to view such content.
• To circumvent website security measures, access controls, or terms of service.
• To generate, share, or distribute harmful, misleading, or inappropriate content.
• To impersonate or attempt to impersonate us, our employees, another user, or any other person or entity.
• To attempt to gain unauthorized access to, interfere with, damage, or disrupt any parts of the Extension or our services.
• In any way that could disable, overburden, or impair the Extension or interfere with any other party's use of the Extension.

You are responsible for ensuring you have appropriate permissions to access and use the content on websites where you use the Extension. You acknowledge that the Extension processes webpage content to provide AI assistance and agree to use this functionality responsibly and in accordance with applicable website terms of service.

Intellectual Property

The Extension and its original content, features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of LongTail and its licensors. The trylongtail.com website and Chrome Extension are protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws of both the United States and foreign countries. Our trademarks and trade dress may not be used in connection with any product or service without our prior written consent. You retain ownership of any content you create or access through the Extension, but you grant us the right to process such content to provide the Extension's AI services.

Termination

We may discontinue the Extension or block your access to the Extension immediately, without prior notice or liability, under our sole discretion, for any reason whatsoever and without limitation, including but not limited to a breach of the Terms.

If you wish to stop using the Extension, you may simply uninstall it from your browser. All provisions of the Terms which by their nature should survive termination shall survive termination, including, without limitation, ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, indemnity, and limitations of liability.

Disclaimer of Warranties

The Extension is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. Your use of the Extension is at your sole risk. The Extension is provided without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including, but not limited to, implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or course of performance.

LongTail, its subsidiaries, affiliates, and its licensors do not warrant that a) the Extension will function uninterrupted, secure or available at any particular time or location; b) any errors or defects will be corrected; c) the Extension is free of viruses or other harmful components; or d) the results of using the Extension will meet your requirements.

We do not warrant, endorse, guarantee, or assume responsibility for any third-party website, AI service, or content accessed or processed through the Extension. AI-generated responses may contain inaccuracies and should be verified independently.

Limitation of Liability

In no event shall LongTail, nor its directors, employees, partners, agents, suppliers, or affiliates, be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from (i) your access to or use of or inability to access or use the Extension; (ii) any content or responses generated by the Extension's AI services; (iii) any content obtained from third-party websites processed through the Extension; and (iv) unauthorized access, use or alteration of your transmissions or content, whether based on warranty, contract, tort (including negligence) or any other legal theory, whether or not we have been informed of the possibility of such damage, and even if a remedy set forth herein is found to have failed of its essential purpose.

Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless LongTail and its licensee and licensors, and their employees, contractors, agents, officers and directors, from and against any and all claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs or debt, and expenses (including but not limited to attorney's fees), resulting from or arising out of a) your use of the Extension; b) a breach of these Terms, or c) your use of the Extension on third-party websites or with content that you do not have permission to access or process.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of [Your State/Country], without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of those rights. If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable by a court, the remaining provisions of these Terms will remain in effect.
